Johns: Williams heading back to league

FORMER AUSTRALIAN rugby league international Matty Johns reckons Sonny Bill Williams will be playing at the Sydney Roosters next season.

He says that Williams will switch back to the rival code from the 15-man game in 2013.

“From what I hear 100 per cent he'll be at the Roosters, there's only the details about his boxing career to sort out,” Johns told Sydney’s Triple M radio station.

Williams’ future beyond 2012 has been the subject of much speculation since he signed a one-year contract extension with the New Zealand Rugby Union last year.

Many have tipped he will return to rugby league, where he initially made a name for himself playing for the Sydney club Canterbury Bulldogs.
