NO 8 Fritz Lee and fullback Tim Nanai-Williams have re-signed with Counties Manukau.
The two Chiefs players say new coach Tana Umaga was a leading factor in them recommitting to the Steelers.
“I’m happy to stay at Counties Manukau, its home for me and I am looking forward to playing with the boys under Tana again,” says Lee.
Says Nanai-Williams: “Tana is a great coach and I know I can learn a lot from him, so it was an easy decision to remain close to my family and stay with the boys at Counties Manukau.”
Umaga says it is great that Lee and Nanai-Williams have re-signed with the union.
“They are quality players who add a lot to our style of rugby and will ensure that we continue to build on what we have been working towards.”
The duo joins Ronald Raaymakers, August Pulu, David Bason, Simon Lemalu, Peter Hale Ashee Tuala and DJ Forbes in re-signing with the side.
Sherwin Stowers, Jamie Chipman, Baden Kerr and Reynold Lee-lo remain on existing contracts with the union.
