Kirwan to coach Baabaas

ALL BLACKS great John Kirwan is to coach a star-studded UK Barbarians team in three international matches in May and June.

Kirwan, the former Italy and Japan coach, will mentor the famous composite side against England, Ireland and Wales.

The 63-test wing is looking forward to working with such a talented group of players.

“The Barbarians are putting together a very strong squad and our goal on this great tour against England, Ireland and Wales will be to inspire young people to play with flair, ability and passion,” he says.

The side will play England at Twickenham on May 27, Ireland in Gloucester on May 29 and Wales at Millennium Stadium on June 2.

The Baabaas have already recruited former All Blacks wing Joe Rokocoko, former Welsh internationals Shane Williams and Stephen Jones and ex-England flanker Lewis Moody.
