THE POSTPONED France v Ireland Six Nations match will not take place this weekend.
Their match at Stade de France last Sunday was called off 10 minutes before kickoff due to a frozen pitch.
A new date is expected to be announced later this week when the Six Nations Council meets again to discuss the rescheduling of the fixture.
“There are very significant logistical issues arising from this situation, and we would wish to be in a position to give a comprehensive clarification following the meeting,” said the tournament organisers in a statement.
The weekend of March 3 shapes as the logical choice to play the match, as it is the only free slot before the tournament ends on March 17.
