NEW ZEALAND Sevens captain DJ Forbes has re-signed with Counties Manukau.
Forbes, who is preparing for this weekend’s Wellington Sevens tournament, joins a number of front-line players who have recommitted to the Steelers.
“I really enjoyed the Steelers environment and working with the management team and the young talent that we have at Counties Manukau which is why I chose to stay there,” says Forbes.
He joins Ronald Raaymakers, August Pulu, David Bason, Simon Lemalu, Peter Hale and Ashee Tuala in re-signing.
Sherwin Stowers, Jamie Chipman, Baden Kerr and Reynold Lee-lo remain on existing contracts with Counties Manukau Rugby Union.
Counties will be coach by Tana Umaga this season. He takes over from Milton Haig, who has taken up a coaching position with Georgia.
