Rugby Championship/Bledisloe Cup
A CHARGE of foul play against Wallabies first five Quade Cooper has been dismissed by a SANZAR judicial panel.
Cooper was cited for striking All Blacks captain Richie McCaw with his knee during the sides’ Tri Nations clash in Brisbane last night.
Cooper admitted that his knee made contact with McCaw's face, but testified that the contact was accidental, as he was in the process of getting up from the ground.
SANZAR judicial officer Jannie Lubbe found that Cooper’s evidence was in line with the video footage he reviewed and subsequently dismissed the charge.
