Genia in doubt

Genia in doubt

WALLABIES HALFBACK Will Genia is in doubt for tomorrow night’s Tri Nations decider against the All Blacks in Brisbane following his second serious training mishap in three days.

The pint-sized No 9 collided heavily with lock Rob Simmons at Wallabies training yesterday.

Genia headed to the sideline to be attended to by team doctor Warren MacDonald while Simmons continued training. A short time later he went into the team dressing room with MacDonald.

A team spokesperson said that the management was confident Genia had not suffered any serious injury and would be fit to play at Suncorp Stadium against the All Blacks.

However, a decision would not be made until later today.

Earlier in the week, he received six stiches after colliding with No 8 Radike Samo at training. He had no memory of the contact while he was being attended to by Wallabies medical staff.
